I tried out a recipe for healthy, clean peanut butter cookie bars today! I got this picture of the website where I found the recipe, since after I finished baking mine my mom dropped the whole thing on the floor. I was able to salvage a bit from it though and omg so delicious.

  • 1 can of chickpeas
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup pure honey
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/3 cup dark chocolate chips
  • sea salt

I rinsed the chickpeas and put them in a food processor. Then I added all the ingredients except for the chocolate chips and sea salt, and put in through the food processor until it was smooth. I stirred in the chocolate chips, poured it in a pan and baked it for 25 minutes at 350 degrees. You have to let it cool down for about 20 minutes afterwards to harden and then sprinkle sea salt on them.

I made my overnight oats with chocolate almond milk and blueberry infused flax seeds last night and added fresh blueberries this morning. And now I’m off for a walk.

I’ve just created the BEST, healthy mug cake in the history of the entire world. I have an obsession with anything you can cook in a mug or in a microwave

  • 1/2 mashed banana
  • tiny handful of organic rolled oats
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • a big spoon full of natural peanut butter
  • spoon full of plain greek yogurt
  • a splash of unsweetened almond milk
  • dark chocolate chips

Mix and microwave for 3 minutes or until it looks cake-y

I’m a mug cake prodigy

So my family is really Italian and aren’t into the whole ‘clean eating’ thing, but since I make dinner almost every night, I can pretty much force them.

I came up with this for dinner tonight. I’m whole wheat pasta with spinach and cherry tomatoes with a creamy garlic sauce made out of just garlic, fresh herbs, almond milk and a few tablespoons of unbleached flour.

Day 5 of tiny tea’s teatox

I love this product so much. I’m still not sure if a 14 day supply of tea is worth $35 but I’ll see when I’m done with it.

First off, the flavor. I’m not a tea kind of person at all. I rarely drink it and don’t enjoy it. I’ve been drinking it without adding anything else to it and the flavor isn’t exactly good but it’s not unbearable at all.

Second, the effects. I’ve heard a ton of good things about the teatox and what it does to the body. One of the things I kept hearing it that it helped cleared their skin. My skin is already clear in the first place, so I don’t know how true that is. But I’ve heard many people say it did wonders for their skin so that’s something to look into if you need it.

It’s also supposed to get rid of bloating and help you lose weight too. I don’t weight myself but I definitely see a difference in how my lower stomach looks. It definitely is helping to stop my bloating.

The last thing if that it has given me more energy than any amount of coffee has ever given me. I’m usually sluggish and tired but I’ve been wide eyed and cheerful ever since I started the teatox!

My teatox came in the mail a few days ago so I’ll definitely be documenting how it’s going!

I put apple chunks and a fresh stick of cinnamon in my iced water today to make a detox :)

Organic white quinoa with mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach and onion in a thyme and chicken broth.

I made healthy banana bread cookies!

All I did was mash up 2 bananas and put 2 cups of organic oats in a food processor until it was the consistency of flour and mixed the two together. Then I added a little bit of vanilla extract and dark chocolate chips and baked them for 10 minutes.

It tastes just like banana bread, omg :)

Hello! So I’m not sure how many active people are still following this blog. I switched this from being a vintage blog to an eating disorder blog to a depression blog and then to a personal blog lol.

Anyway, I’m hoping to start a journey of recovery and happiness. I’m trying to stop my habits of binging, purging and restricting by eating clean and being healthy. I also am going to document how my depression is going and my hopes to put an end to it.

So if you want to unfollow I completely understand. This blog will probably mostly be full of recipes, posts about my daily life, my pictures and things about clean eating.

The salad I got for lunch is too dope.

I’m using an app called feature points, that literally pays you in amazon and paypal vouchers for downloading free apps. It’s super easy and a good way a making extra money.

Use the referral code 2HHYQY or the direct link http://featu.re/2HHYQY and they’ll start off with a good amount of points.

So I signed up for influenster a while ago, which is basically a site where they send you free samples to try out and review. I got this Next Step shaker cup and 3 samples of Next Step protein shakes from The Vitamin Shoppe. I tried the flavor Fresh Berries this morning and I’m not a fan. They have me the flavors Swiss Chocolate and French Vanilla so I’ll try those over the next few days.

I’m really trying to get into protein shakes since I’m alot more comfortable drinking liquids rather then eating solid food since liquids rarely ever lead to a binge. I also need more protein in my diet since I don’t like most meats or any other sources of protein.

There’s 140 calories in this shake, 14g of protein and 6g of dietary fiber.
